WHAT IS COEVTA?

COLORADO EMERGENCY VEHICLE TECHNICIAN ASSOCIATION is an organization comprised primarily of Fire, Emergency Transport,
and Law Enforcement Mechanics from Colorado and neighboring states. The purpose of COEVTA is to
train, educate, and share information concerning fire apparatus maintenance and repair.

WHY SHOULD I JOIN COEVTA?

Meetings are hosted quarterly at various member facilities within the state of
Colorado. These meetings include training seminars, information regarding fire apparatus
and equipment maintenance, and opportunities to view maintenance operations across the state.

COEVTA holds an Emergency Vehicle Mechanics Academy annually starting the
last Monday of July annually. The Academy provides in‐depth training related to vehicle
and apparatus maintenance areas such as fire pumps and accessories, aerial apparatus,
heavy‐duty electrical systems, ambulance maintenance, and much more.

Vehicle and apparatus down time is a critical concern for all emergency services departments.
A network of COEVTA members, vendors, and manufacturer’s representatives is in place to
assist your department in reducing apparatus down time. Many of your vehicle and apparatus
maintenance and repair questions can be addressed with a simple phone call.
